not only did i take a mulligan today, but, i found a barbershop downtown that doesn't charge between $25-$45 to preform a straight razor shave. so that was good. bonus too for it being easy for me to get the wheelchair in to. speaking of which, the second time i got out of bed i read the name brand of the chair it self. it's a, erm, quickie.

then after being home or a few hours, i went and saw [015] moon w/sam rockwell, who is a clone who meets his clone. he doesn't act well when he's acting w/himself, which he does for about 2/3 of the film. he does, however play filthy and grubby remarkably well.
<lj-embed id="63" />
kevin spacey is unremarkable as HAL.

what i really wanted to see was the girlfriend experience w/sasha grey, but it had already moved out of town. sil.
<lj-embed id="64" />

after work, i went downtown and saw [014] megane which is japanese for glasses. it's part of a series called "kibatsu cinema" which is in itself, part of the powel street festival, which, this year takes place in august not on powel street, but at a park off commercial. it's all very confusing. the series of films is all rooted around eccentric pop culture.

<lj-embed id="62" />

a film about relaxing and doing nothing, eating good food, having shaved ice on the beach (which is not some smutty euphemism) and how hard that all is.

this was the first film in the series. if more of them are like this, i'm going to go to as many as i can.
